Eight liters, 16 cylinders, 64 valves and four turbo chargers, 1,001 hp and 1.250 Nm maximum torque. It is the Bugatti Veyron - until recently the fastest car in the world. Price? Million. So there is a question - why is it so expensive ...
At the beginning we need to say that the Veyron is supercar among supercars. It is a masterpiece in the automotive industry, like the Concorde was once in the commercial aircraft industry, like Blackbird or the Air Force - a technological marvel that will be difficult to overcome than any other manufacturer, as they are paid to do something just for publicity.
If we believe the analysts and their calculations, Volkswagen, the company that owns Bugatti, after each produced Veyron model that sells for a million euros actually losing four. Not four euros, but four million!
But it must have been mistaken, why such staggering amounts when Veyron already is neither the fastest car in the world? Indeed, the title stripped Hennessey Venom GT, which exceeded the previous record of 432 km / h with a top speed of 435 km / h, but this limit is only part of the story when it comes to automobile prodigy from Molsheim.
While other cars at more than 350 km / h give the impression as if to fall apart when they come to their speed limit, people who have had the opportunity to drive the Veyron at its top speed, claiming that they do not feel a difference in terms of driving at slower speeds.
Veyron is designed so that even at 400 km / h passengers can continue uninterrupted to enjoy the luxury and the commodity of the car, which are the equivalent of comfort in ultra luxury limousines (interior design is signed by the fashion house Hermes). As if that is not enough, VW has put its engineers to further troubles with the request to adjust the vehicle for the race track, but also and for everyday driving. This is model whose engine develops enough torque to pull a house from its foundation, the Germans demanded standard service intervals. Therefore, it is not surprising that the development of the Veyron lasted four years and cost half a billion euros.
After all this, not surprisingly, Bugatti Veyron cost million.
